My daughter was enjoying the beach near the end of the day. As she played, she bent over to pick up a seashell that caught her eye. Naturally, the ocean’s froth gushed in to reclaim the little prize she had found creating an effervescent wake of muddy water around her ankles. Determined to fetch her calcareous claim, she clung to it as the sea foam pushed its way around her tenacious little grip. The ocean resigned for a moment and the swirls of saline laden sand receded from where she entrenched herself in the sinking seashore.
